3.4 AR-Based Assessment and Reflection

Augmented Reality also enables alternative forms of assessment beyond traditional tests.

Through AR-based activities, students can:

• demonstrate understanding by interacting with models and simulations,
• explain decisions and observations during or after activities,
• reflect on how bio-inspired principles apply to AI systems.

Teachers can use observation, discussion, and completion of AR tasks as formative assessment, gaining insight into students’ understanding and reasoning processes.
