AR also supports active learning by encouraging students to explore their real environment. The application Seek by iNaturalist allows students to identify plants and animals using their device camera. This helps learners connect classroom knowledge with local biodiversity and understand that climate change also affects species close to home (iNaturalist, n.d.).

By observing real organisms and linking them to climate-related threats, students develop ecological literacy and a sense of responsibility. Learning becomes more meaningful when students see that global problems have local consequences.
