Description of the learning unit
|
The final practical result – to make a part of a bionic hand prototype. Here teachers and students will be acquainted with bionic manipulators principles, with the 3D printing and 3D modeling techniques, how to visually/graphically program a microcontroller and make the bionic fingers move depending on the buttons pushed by the user.
To enhance the learning experience, Augmented Reality (AR) tools such as Tinkercad AR Viewer, BlippAR, and Merge Cube will be integrated. These tools will allow students to visualize internal mechanisms of the bionic hand, simulate finger movements virtually before physical assembly, and receive real-time feedback on their designs.
Practical exercises involve: Tinkercad 3D graphics modeling; Participation in the 3D printing procedure; Practical programming of Arduino microcontrollers and testing finger movements with AR simulations; Experimentation with constructed bionic hand parts, enhanced by real-time AR feedback on component performance.
